Tommy joined our Castlerea store in 2011 and, after completing the trainee manager programme, was appointed to his current role in 2017. Living in his home town of Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon, Tommy loves sports, music, and farming with his father and sons.

Area: Rathscanlon, Screen, Easkey, Belmullet
Micheál joined Nutrias on the Trainee Farm Commercial Specialist Programme in 2020 and is from Cross, Co. Mayo. Micheál always had a keen interest in farming having grown up on a beef and sheep farm, Micheál attended Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Agribusiness degree. Micheál enjoys farming and playing GAA with his local club, The Neale.
David Whelan,

In 2016, David completed his degree at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, where he achieved a Bachelor of Business in agribusiness and joined Nutrias soon afterwards. Now living in his home town of Ballydangan, Co Roscommon, David enjoys GAA, farming, horse racing and socialising.

Farm Commercial Specialist
Emer joined Nutrias in 2017, working in a variety of roles before being appointed Farm Commercial Specialist and has a degree in Animal Science from UCD. Originally from Tuam, she now lives in Sligo but is true to her roots on the family suckler-beef farm and is a member of Caherlistrane Ladies GAA.

Area: Athleague, Ballyhaunis, Co. Galway
Mark has worked with Nutrias since 2017 and lives in his home town of Lakeland Ballydangan, Co. Roscommon. He has a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Agriculture from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and loves farming, GAA, soccer and horse racing.
James Kelly,
Farm Commercial Specialist
James joined Nutrias in June 2017 bringing with him many years of experience selling farm inputs. He has degrees in Business Studies and Rural Enterprise and Agri Business and lives in his home town of Moore, Co Roscommon. In his spare time he enjoys farming and playing football with his local GAA club, Padraig Pearses.
Colm Duffy,

Area: Longford / Cavan, Gurteen, Boyle, Mohill, Kiltoghert, Castlerea
Colm, a native of Leitrim, completed a degree in agricultural science at UCD, specialising in animal and crop production. Having gained a number of years’ experience in technical support roles, Colm joined Nutrias in 2015. As well as working on his family’s dairy farm, he is a member of Gortletteragh GAA club.
Jonathan Smyth,

Jonathan started his career working in Northern Ireland before going to England to work as a ruminant technical specialist. He moved home to work as a feed advisor before joining Nutrias in 2017. Jonathan, who has a diploma in ruminant nutrition, lives in his hometown of Carndonagh, Co. Donegal.
